Our 2010 Fair was spectacular! We had the most cooperative weather ever. Temperatures in the low 80's, sunshine galore and the bluest skies you've ever seen. Final attendance was 312,149, up from our normal 305,000.

Thank you to Yakima and Central Washington residents for supporting this wonderful family event. To those that participated by exhibiting something, selling something and to those that just came to hang out and have fun, we appreciate you!

We were proud to be a Feature Fair (along with the Puyallup Fair) through our Western Fairs Association. We had approximately 50 people from other fairs visit us on opening weekend. It was fun for us to share the things that we do. Our industry is wonderful when it comes to sharing ideas. We borrow from them. They borrow from us.

Since the Fair, we've attended Washington Fairs Convention and met with many entertainers and folks with attractions. All are hoping for 2011 Fair dates. Talk about a lot of talent out there! It's incredible.

In a few weeks, we attend International Association of Fairs & Expositions and attend the Trade Show looking for attractions, acts, etc., that will enhance our Fair. Many classes are offered at these conventions and we always bring back useful information to make us better.

Theme is in the works for 2011. Stay tuned.
